Students Learn About Being Plastic Free

Students were recently treated to a visit from Rebecca Prince-Ruiz, founder of the Plastic Free Foundation and a WA Local Hero 2021 award winner, which is part of the Australia of the Year Awards.

Rebecca founded the Plastic Free July campaign in 2011 and has evolved the campaign into a global movement.  In 2019 the campaign empowered 250 million people across 177 countries, to join a community and commit to choosing to refuse the single-use plastic in their lives.

It was such a pleasure to host Rebecca and hear her speak so passionately about such a great cause.

This visit was made possible by
Chevron Australia as a part of their Environment Month celebrations for June.
