The Health Curriculum provides the basis for developing knowledge, understanding and skills for students to lead healthy, safe and active lives. Students learn about themselves and the relationships with others, which include both physical and emotional awareness. This will empower them to make personal and socially responsible decisions to improve their quality of life.
There are a range of focus areas covered throughout the year that are age appropriate and reflect the physical, social and emotional maturation of the student.
We encourage parents and caregivers to view the attached documents to assist at home with each of these focus areas, as they are being taught and discussed in the classroom.
Currently in PP - Yr 4 we are concentrating on 'Safety on Wheels', and in Years 5 and 6, we are looking at Relationships and Sexual Health, presented by the Wirrpanda Foundation.
