Empowering kids to thrive at School while building capacity within the Students homes!
Waalitj Kids is a program developed for Kindy through to Year 6 students, intensive mentoring and daily home visits are provided to families in Onslow, including support for everything from establishing routines, school pick-ups, dealing with departmental agencies, paperwork, medical appointments and well-being support. Ongoing weekly support is too overcome any barriers that may prevent Students from regular School Attendance. Regular Incentives are included and range from a Yearly Turtle Camp out at Thevenard Island too weekly sports incentives, term Perth Mentor visits are also included. Although this is a Kindy to Year 6 program, Waalitj Mentors offer their mentoring services and support to all Students across all Years, so no-one feels left out.
Deadly Sista Girlz aims to improve engagement, education and enable School aged Aboriginal girls to make informed decisions about their personal health and well-being to lead a positive and healthy lifestyle, Waalitj Mentors offer 24 hour mentoring services to the Secondary cohort.
Mooditj – A culturally appropriate relationship and sexual health program, with Waalitj’s Mentors the School offers this program to Students Age 10 Years to 18 Years once a year, working in alongside Mr Tan’s Health sessions.

Onslow Family Support Referral Form -This referral form is for agencies to refer an individual or family to the Waalitj Foundation for mentoring services including but not limited to education, health and well being.
