The secondary students paired up with reading buddies from our pre-primary and year 1 classes over the past few weeks. Not only were our highschoolers impressed with the reading skills on display, it was also a fun way to finish off the week and make some connections in the primary area.
This week Pilbara Ports Authority ran a Mangrove Mates incursion with our students in Room 4 and Room 5.
Today we remembered...Lest We Forget!
This term our big pre-primary students have taken the huge plunge into transitioning with the older students. They have had an absolute ball playing and mingling with everyone, they are super keen to become year 1's next year!
Charlee's delightful 'Watermelon Shark' is just one example of a milestone reward that our students have experienced. We look forward to a few more before the years end.
Thank you so much to our P&C for dishing up yummy toasties, tasty cold milos and fruit for the students breafast on Ride2School Day, Tuesday 24 October.
Onslow School has been very fortunate to have several organisations come to our school to talk to our high-schoolers, and in particular our Year 9-12s, about future career opportunities.
Recently, students in years 2 - 6 went on an excursion to the reef near the old jetty!
The P&C hosted the annual Onslow School Ball on Friday 28 July at the RM Forrest Hall.
